Walt Espinoza

Truth or Consequences, New Mexico

Metalworker and self-taught roboticist, Walt spent thirty years as a TV repairman before retiring his soldering iron for good — or so he thought. These days his garage workshop is stacked with gutted radios, hubcaps, vacuum tubes, and drawer after drawer of salvaged toy parts, all of it destined to become tin-and-chrome robots, tabletop rockets, and the occasional medium-scale sculpture built around whatever oddball part caught his eye that week. Walt calls his style "reverse archaeology" — building future relics out of yesterday's junk drawer.
