Marisol Vega

Taos, New Mexico

Marisol builds shadow boxes the way other people build dioramas — obsessively, and down to the last pixel. A lifelong arcade kid, she fills each frame with a curated little world: chipped Pac-Man cabinet art, a hand-cut Donkey Kong barrel, a strip of 8-bit Mario brick pattern she painted freehand, old cartridge labels, and the occasional real vintage controller wired in as a sculptural element. Every box is a love letter to a specific console generation, framed and lit like a museum case for the arcade.
